Release of SIRF 2.1.0

We are delighted to announce the release of our Synergistic Image Reconstruction Framework (SIRF) Version 2.1.0.

The main changes of the 2.1.0 release are the interfacing of the HKEM reconstruction algorithm from STIR, added capability to write DICOM images from MRI output and handling 3D MR Cartesian sequences. At the Python level SIRF is now compatible with CCPi CIL optimisation software. We also updated the versions of a number of dependency, e.g. ISMRMRD, STIR and NiftyReg.

A complete list of changes can be found in our CHANGES file.

Philosophical Transactions A of the Royal Society containing work presented at the symposium

Two special issues were published in the Philosophical Transactions A of the Royal Society primarily containing work presented at the symposium:

Release of SIRF 2.0.0

We are delighted to announce the release of our Synergistic Image Reconstruction Framework (SIRF) Version 2.0.0.

The main change of the 2.0.0 release is the addition in SIRF of image registration and resampling via NiftyReg. We are particularly excited by this addition as it will enable synergistic reconstruction between images with different dimensions, such as those of PET and MR.

For this a new ImageData hierarchy common to PET and MR data has been developed. Additionally, ImageData now contains geometrical information.
